Marvel's The Avengers is trying to raise more money by expanding this movie to about 1,700 theaters on Labor Day weekend. It has made around $1.5 million already, this makes it the third biggest grossing film. The film will continue to take in more money when the DVD is realeased.
This article caught my eye because of the word Avenger. I enjoyed watching this movie. It had a combination of both Comedy and Action. I dont understand why their trying to raise more money than they already have. This article doesnt really affect me as a student but as a future filmmaker it shows me what production companies will do in order for more money. The questions I have running through my head now are how many times does this happen? why does marvel want to get more money?

Legendary Pictures ends deal with Warner Bros Television.
Legendary Pictures is a successful fracture financier/production company. In January 2011 legendary pictures had launched a deal with Warner Bros television to conjunct with each others . The deal has been put on hold due to the lack of untraditional t.v. Legendary pictures is known for its untraditional ways, and Warner Bros is traditional.
This article is important because it discusses the types of movies different companies make. It also talks about the results that happens when two different companies, with different ideas combine. This article caught my eye because I like watching Warner Bros movies. This article has an impact on me as a future filmmaker because it shows that although combining different ideas may be useful and creative, it can also have a negative affect at times. The only question I have now is what will legendary and Warner Bros tv come up with next ?

Fox Intership Lawsuit
A lawsuit had been made against the Fox Entertainment Intership program in the fall of 2011. Fox had been accused for "alleged violations of employment laws'' during the "Black Swan" intership program at Fox Searchlight. The interns were over worked and were not even pay. Fox changed its policy to pay its interns $8 an hour in 2010, but interns highered to work in the studio were not payed even though they were required to " fill out I-9 forms, sign confidentiality agreements and were deemed "employees" covered under workers' compensation laws." The interns are trying to expand the lawsuit to accomidate the 20th century Fox.
This article is important because it talks about the unjustice and unfair treatment interns have recieved in the film industry. It is especially important if you are looking to work in the film industry. This article appealed to me because I would one day like to become an intern and get a feel of what it is like to work in the film industry.
This article has a tremendous impact on me as a student and a future filmmaker because it informs me of the current treatment some interns have faced. I will hopefully one day be an intern and I would not like to be mistreated in any way. Interns have rights and they should be treated well, not taken advantaged of. They deserve to be payed at least the minimum wage.
This article makes me wonder what other types of unjustice treatment do interns deal with. I am also curious to know what other major companies mistreat their intern. These inerships are suppose to help and give the person educational training, but in some cases they dont live up to the expectations.
